Change WordPress excerpt length without plugins

Ok, this is a really simple way to change the default WordPress excerpt length.

All you need to do is add a small snippet of code to the Functions.php file.

This snippet changes the default excerpt length to 30 characters long. If you require longer or shorter, just change the value of 30 to the number of characters you require.
